Icarus take my hand

Life is hard and happiness is fleeting

So fly me to the calm of the safe zone

Not too high, not too low, just out of  danger

“Come then” said Icarus  “together let us go,

My father was too chary, there is no safe zone

So let go my hand, free fall and soar

Fracture fear’s white light into its myriad colours

Fly blind, hurl your self to the rainbow’s edge

Tame your thinking, banish misfortune

Let feeling bank and change your course

Risk love, risk trust, risk falling, risk soaring”

When Icarus took us flying into the heat of the sun

He dived from height to earth

Not a feather was torn, not one out of place

“My quills are not fixed by wax

They are attached by my mind
